Culpeper Regional Condition System and Germanna Community College are initiating its annual challenge for the community to be defeated weight while maintaining a healthier lifestyle.

Registration for the 2012 12-week Salutary Living and Weight Loss Challenge starts Monday. Completed forms must be returned to the Powell Wellness Center, 1005 Golf Dr. in Culpeper, by Jan. 28 at 4 p.m.

In conjunction with the impugn, there’s a kick-off health fair where participants will weigh in for the first values bright and early and/or register for the competition at Germanna Community College’s Daniel Technology Center.

“Our object this year is to lose 5,000 pounds as a community. We are really encouraging people to get out and do their A-,” said Molly Mueller, interim spokeswoman and marketing coordinator for Culpeper Regional Asylum. Last year, the community lost nearly 4,000 pounds and in 2010 it dropped about 3,000 pounds, Mueller said.
