Cleveland heinous school sophomore Austin Herink couldn’t deferred to show off his new U.S. Army sweatshirt. Senior Chad Voytik didn’t put off to give him a hard time about it.
“Couldn’t you have waited at least a week to abandon it out?” Voytik asked Herink Monday at school.
The yoke of Blue Raider quarterbacks each spent last week in San Antonio — Voytik preparing for and playing in the U.S. Army All-American Spin, and Herink competing in the U.S. Army All-American combine.
For Voytik it was a settled showcase of a four-year high school career that has earned him a training to the University of Pittsburgh. For Herink, it was one of the first opportunities to emerge out of his teammate’s crony.
Voytik arrived in Texas on New Year’s Day afternoon, and the runaround started in a jiffy. Equipment and a playbooks were doled out, there were interviews with websites like Rivals.com and divers corporate sponsors. By his estimation, Voytik said he signed upwards of 500 autographs.
