Sports fans and fashionistas, brace yourselves. Worldwide soccer superstar David Beckham will be undressed to thrill in skin tight skivvies in a 30-two shakes of a lamb's tail ad slated to run during the second quarter of the Super Bowl Feb. 5.
Beckham designed the nine-filler line for H&M clothing stores, known for its affordable “tight fashion.”
The bronzed and buffed athlete, boldly going where few men have gone before (Marky “Trait” Wahlberg in Calvin Klein during the 1990s and, a decade earlier, baseball Theatre of Famer, Jim Palmer in Jockey's Poco brief) is counting on men across America to ... well ... burden it like Beckham.
“We're always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our customers, and we see this as a unequalled opportunity to reach millions of fans,” said Steve Lubomski in a thrust release about the ad launch.
Lubomski, director of marketing for H&M North America, said he believes that Beckham is a “sincerely style icon,” even in his underwear. After all, Beckham has done this before.
