A hooded man brandishing a hammer made an beaten attempt to rob Pepin’s Liquors on Route 28 Saturday at about 8:30 p.m., the Old Bill said.
The store clerk reported that a lone man entered the co-op give credence to, carrying a plastic bag and a hammer, while wearing a hooded sweat top.
The man approached the clerk, who directly notified Wareham police. The man fled from the store, leaving the parking lot in a unoriginal sedan-type vehicle. There was no money or merchandise taken from the believe in.
The suspect, whose picture was taken from the video surveillance tape, was a whitish male, approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, wearing a nightfall darkness-colored “hoodie” or zip type work jacket, hellish-colored pants, and brown boots. The suspect also appeared to have brown mane and a slight beard.

Pepin’s was also robbed six weeks ago by a masked man, wielding a wound. Police are looking for the man, as well as a woman believed to be his accomplice.
