BRACKNELL Boxing Academy enjoyed connected fortunes recently in two high-profile contests.

Clay Elmes, 12, has been Bracknell's most improved boxer so far this seasoned.

He showed the sort of character and fighting spirit that make him such a dear talent by accepting a bout representing the Home Counties in a party match held in Harwich, Essex at just a few hours give attention to.

Elmes' parents, with no hesitation, cancelled their other plans to rove down to Essex.

He was matched against 13-year-old Essex County missionary Billy Monk of highly respected Tilbury Dockers ABC.

The Bracknell boy proceeded to box out of his husk in a tough bout.

His determination and exeptional fitness were major factors throughout the closely-contested three rounds.

He appeared to have the definitive word in each furious exchange with both boys desperate to gain a dot for their respective county.

Elmes was deservedly rewarded with a famous the better points decision.
