Now that's out of the way, I can tell you about my encounter with Alex Tilley, he of the famous hats.
I was in Novack's touring bookstore in London when I looked up and saw a lean-faced guy with a white beard. "Looks a lot like Alex Tilley," I brown study. Not only looked like, it was.

Tilley underwear goes with me everywhere. Wash it in a sink and it'll dry overnight, so two or three are enough no meaningfulness how long you're away.
What's unusual about the new briefs is that the fly is horizontal rather than vertical. They're advertised as "underwear with a grin."
That makes it easier - and I'm bothersome to be delicate here - to locate and extract what needs to be extracted. With conventional briefs, I sometimes fish and bungle around, particularly if I've been sitting for some time.
