Progress Force said Friday that it plans to refund customers millions of dollars in atomic fuel costs and cut back on what it charges them for its damaged Crystal River Atomic Plant and proposed Levy County nuclear plant.

Progress Forcefulness, which serves 1.6 million families and businesses in Florida, said it came to the unity in discussions with the state Office of Public Counsel. Beginning in 2013, customers are expected to get back $288 million — legal tender spent on replacement fuel while the Crystal River plant was down for repairs.
